Due to increasing concerns about health and safety and the need to avoiding damage to areas of sensitive ground, including eco sensitive areas, the founders of Trakmats Europe realised there was a growing demand for high quality, yet simple to install and quickly deployed, ground protection and access solutions.

Customers were also looking for alternatives to heavy, expensive aluminum or wooden mats, for a wide range of applications where these solutions were not practical because of reasons such as restricted access, risk of theft, movement around sites etc. Today, any location where plant, vehicles or personnel are required to move over any type of open land, temporary ground protection and access is a “must”.
